The site is called hostlaws because two questions govern which law a provider answers to.
Exposure is whether a US entity sits in the contracting or ownership chain, making the provider reachable under US extraterritorial statutes such as the Cloud Act. Disclosure is whether the provider has published a document that explains what it does with data and under which law. These are independent axes: a provider can have direct US exposure and a thorough disclosure, or no identified US exposure and no disclosure at all.
